Long Island's Oldest Synagogue. Renewed and Reinvigorated.

Women's Rosh Chodesh Group

This group meets once a month at 5PM on a Sunday throughout the year. It provides an opportunity for exploration of themes in the Jewish calendar and how they affect women's lives. Members of the group attend regularly and participate in curriculum development and co-leading monthly discussions.

Suggested topics reflect a broad range of psychological, philosophic and social issues relevant to the Jewish calendar month. In addition, the group fosters friendships and develops a spirit of intimacy and warmth through intellectual exploration, an exchange of personal experiences and a sharing of refreshments.

In short, " Eat, drink and be merry"––our gatherings offer an opportunity for camaraderie, celebration, reflection, support and learning. New members are always welcome.  If interested, please contact Gail Gambino at [email protected]
