Long Island's Oldest Synagogue. Renewed and Reinvigorated.

Membership Information

A Reform synagogue, Temple Adas Israel is celebrating its 120th year. The oldest synagogue on Long Island, since 1896, we have experienced a balance of continuity and thoughtful change. A house of prayer, study, and assembly, we offer multiple entry points to access a Judaism that suits your spiritual needs and cultural interests. Ask any of our members why it's their spiritual home and they will tell you about the warmth and intimacy they feel. They will tell you about the benefits they enjoy and why.  They will tell you that their "young" rabbi's passion and integrity are what make Rabbi Daniel Geffen their rabbi.  It is the mix of old and new; a respect for tradition and 21st century realities; a hamish space with sophisticated offerings that defines Temple Adas Israel.
