WOMEN’S ROSH CHODESH GROUP

Founded and led for ten years by member Gail Gambino in 2008, the Women’s Rosh Chodesh group continues to meet monthly throughout the year. It provides an opportunity for exploration of themes in the Jewish Calendar and how they affect women’s lives.  Because it is an on-going group with continuity on many levels, there is an expectation of commitment to regular attendance whenever possible.

 Members participate in curriculum development and co-leading monthly discussions. Suggested topics reflect a broad range of psychological, philosophic, Torah-related and social issues relevant to the Jewish Calendar month.  Over time, the group has forged friendships and developed a spirit of intimacy and warmth through intellectual exploration, an exchange of personal feelings and experiences and annual celebrations and group traditions. “Eat, drink and be merry,” our monthly gatherings offer an opportunity for fellowship, celebration, intellectual and personal growth, reflection, support and learning.
