Temple Adas Israel is the oldest synagogue on Long Island. We are a Reform congregation on the East End, and are affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism. Since 1896, we have successfully balanced continuity with thoughtful change. As a house of prayer, study, and assembly, we offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere and many ways to enjoy the Judaism that suits your spiritual needs and cultural interests.
Rabbi Daniel N. Geffen leads the congregation through all aspects of Jewish life. Our temple maintains a balance between old ideas and new perspectives. With respect for both tradition and 21st century realities, Rabbi Geffen’s goal is to help Jews of all ages and backgrounds feel connected to their temple and their Jewish community.
