After the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the constitutional right to abortion with its decision in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization last summer, the Jewish community across the country and lawmakers here in NY have taken action to protect and expand this critical right by reframing abortion access as a religious freedom issue.
