Sponsorships
We are truly grateful to all who have given generously in the past.
Here are some examples of available sponsorships:
Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund
Rabbi Geffen uses this fund for special programs at the temple, to help needy individuals, and to contribute to other worthwhile causes.
Oneg & Kiddush
Celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, graduation, anniversary, or to commemorate the yahrzeit (memory) of a loved one by sponsoring a Friday night Oneg Shabbat, or Saturday morning Kiddush. Cost: $300
Yahrzeit & Simchas Donations
For the mitzvah of yahrzeit tzedaka (given in remembrance of a loved one), and the honoring of life's simchas, these gifts help us to perpetuate the work of our 120 year-old temple and to create new programs for the next generation of Jews who are so important to our future.
Hebrew School
Educating our children is a vital commitment to our own Jewish community as well as to the future of the Jewish people. Your donations will help us continue to grow and thrive - and provide an enriched Jewish curriculum for all of our students. We are most grateful for your support in reaching our goals.
Speakers/Lecturers
Ensure that Temple Adas Israel can expand its programmatic offerings to the congregation by underwriting a speaker or lecturer to visit and share a presentation with the community. Cost: $2,500-$3,600, depending on the speaker.
Shabbat Potluck
Sponsoring a Shabbat potluck dinner would enable the temple to purchase drinks, additional food, and supplies that ensure a successful community-building event for our congregation. Cost: $180
Plaques on the Yahrzeit Memorial Board
There is no better way to honor the memory of a loved one than by purchasing a plaque with their name, to always be remembered in our sanctuary. Memorial plaques will be kept in perpetuity, reminding us all of the impact they made on our lives. Cost: $400 for members; $600 for non-members.
