Volunteer
There are myriad ways to volunteer and help Temple Adas Israel as we grow.
We rely on the generosity of our congregants and the broader community to sustain our organization. Below is merely a sample of opportunities. If you have any other ideas, we certainly welcome suggestions.

Shabbat Greeters
Meet and greet Friday night Shabbat service worshippers - get to know other members of our community and help extend our warm and welcoming spirit!
Minyan Volunteer
Every adult Jew counts, especially for a minyan! Sign up to attend Saturday morning minyan, or to be on a list we can call when we need a 10th. Contact Howard Chwatsky if you are available.
Event Volunteer
There’s always so much to do at our events! Help out by volunteering to greet newcomers, and help with other set-up or clean up needs. Take the lead in implementing a holiday celebration with (plenty of) support from our office staff and other volunteers. Sign up to greet participants and even introduce newcomers to some of our more long-term congregants at our programs. Contact the Temple Office for more details.
Initiate New projects
Is there something missing from Temple Adas Israel that you want to lend your voice and talent to develop? Let us know! Contact Luannept@gmail.com to talk more.
Cultural Programs Committee
Help us plan and coordinate our many events, guest speakers, and programs. Contact Toby Spitz to learn more.
Development Committee
Our temple is thriving, and we can never have enough help with financial development. Lend your perspective (and contacts!) to our ongoing conversations about how to sustain and further develop our base of donors to the synagogue. Contact Co-Presidents Ron Klausner or Alan Leavitt.
Membership/Outreach Committee
Think creatively about the ways in which we can enhance the membership experience (through special events and social activities) and reach out to potential members. Contact Stephen Rosen for more details.
Parents Association for Hebrew School
Calling all Hebrew school parents! Join the Parents Association to help think about ways to enhance the family experience at Temple Adas Israel’s Hebrew School. Contact Shelley Lichtenstein for more details.
